Although rain was originally predicted, the weather on Saturday was gorgeous. We had a record high temperature of 79. So after our piano festival, soccer game, and soccer banquet in the morning, I came home and made the most of the weather: Mowing the yard for one last time and…
Raking leaves, of course.
Despite all the work that my wife and kids had done, there were still a lot of leaves to rake out of a rock flowerbed thing that we have. After blowing the leaves, I set out to bag them all–a daunting task that made me appreciate all the work that had been done the day before.
But half way through the bagging process, a stiff blew through the trees, showering down a fresh layer of leaves over the whole yard. Sigh. But 36 bags of leaves have to count for something, right?
