Friday morning was my normal run day and I decided to try and run, even though Thursday we had about 3 inches of snow. I wore my trail shoes, thinking that they might give me a little extra traction.
First thing that I learned (in the wee hours of the morning) was that black (i.e. ice)=bad, white (snow) = good. So I spent most of the run trying to avoid the black and run on the white.
It was pretty treacherous at times, particularly on the streets that had been plowed, leaving only black ice to run on. Fortunately, I fell only once.
Here are a few pictures I took along the way:
At the end of the run, I was rewarded with the beginnings of the sunrise.
